MY LAST BLOG!!!

I feel so excited and nervous. I have my Placement Test on Tuesday. I wish my best for my all classmates. Although I feel sad because it is my last week in LINCC program, I also feel very happy because I am finishing my first step to achieve my goal. I am very satisfied by all work that I did in class. I want to thank you to all my teachers who helped me to overcome my obstacles. All of you are still in my heart. Thanks to everyone. I will miss you.

LINCC PARTY!!!

All students from LINCC program had a party today. Everybody brought a dish from his/her native country. All of this food was delicious. My teacher, Christina, prepared a delicious dessert. I ate a big piece. This party had many variety of food and music. It was very interesting to see how people dance all kinds of music. Everybody was happy. My teacher and other teachers also danced a lot. I was surprised how my classmates are good dancers. Really my class is the best. I will miss you so much.

MY SON AND HIS SPORTS

My children are all special to me. Their names are Roberto who is 19 years old. Santiago who is 13 years old. Finally Nicole who is 11 years old. Santiago is very special to me. He helps me a lot and is always their for everybody. Today, my son Santiago played baseball in the front yard with his little sister and cousin it was 3 on 1. My son Santiago won 11 to 6. He dreams one day of playing in the M.L.B with Alex Rodriguez and the New York Yankees. Santiago is a very good baseball player. After that he played basketball at the backyard against his older brother. He won 11-10. Then he took a shower. He started to watch the Boston Celtics V.S the Cleavland Cavaliers. He was happy the Celtics won. That is his favorite basketball team. He started to watch it at 8p.m and finished at 11p.m. That is no good because he has school tomorrow.

"MY LITTLE AND UNIQUE NIECE"

Today was a nice day. My sister and her family visited me. She has three adorable children. Their names are Jonathan(11), Michelle(8), and Diana (6). Although I love all of them, Diana is so special for me because she is a disabled girl. She can't walk, talk, and hear. When Diana was born, she was diagnosed with develop delete(hypotonia). However, she has improved in the last two years. She is attending a special school for children with different kinds of disabilities where she is receiving therapy and learning sign language. My family and I enjoyed spending time together. We had a wonderful day. I love my sister and her family.

"MY PROMISE"

I cannot believe! I almost finish my fourth level in LINCC program. When I decided to study , I was not confident about myself because I thought my time had already passed. I knew I was being negative with myself but at the same time something inside of me told me I was wrong. It also was something that I had to do for my family and for me, but I had it made specially for my older son CARLOS. One day before his tragic accident he told me that I had to come back to college and finish my career. My answer was "Yes I will do it PAPITO". Although he is not here to see me, I want to accomplish my promise that I made him.

BUSY DAY!!!!

I feel so tired today. I got home at 9:00p.m. After a long busy day, there is nothing better than taking a hot shower and relax. Today was busy for me because my husband want to buy a new furniture for home(a new living room set) so he asked me if I wanted to check some stores this morning. I said yes because I didn't have any homework. Then we went to visit many stores such as Ashley, Bob, Macy's, and Jennifer furniture to check prices and living sets. Although all of them were beautiful, We did not buy any of them because I was undecided. For this reason we had to come back the store after my class finished. Finally, we found the most beautiful living room set and the price was great.

PARCHIS

Today was an excellent day to be outside. My family did not go outside though.We were invited to lunch. When we finish we played a board game called Parchis. The game lasted 4 and a half an hour. My oldest son came in first place. My other son came in second place. I came in 4th place. My husband came in 5th place It was an excellent day for my family and I. The food was great!

RAISING RESPONSIBLE CHILDREN

Parents have the obligation to teach their children a valuable lesson in responsibility. Of course, the lessons a 4-year old and a 13-year-old can learn will different. The truth is, we will not always be there to shield our children from life's challenges. To enable our children to fend for themselves, we must stay focused on the goal of teaching them to become unselfish, mature, and responsible. But parents' example is probably the most powerful way to help our children to see the importance and value of responsible behavior.

A TRUE FRIEND!

You have a friend you met in your youth. He makes you feel better in your bad moments; for example, when you are stressed, you can always turn to him for some relief. Indeed, you come to depend on him in many situations. Not only that, a true friend is loving all the time. He also listens patiently. Sometimes a friendly smile can give us relief. A true friend is always there to conquer your obstacles.

WHY TO QUIT SMOKING!!

Tobacco products can be as adictive as illicit drugs. Inhaled nicotine may reach the brain in just seconds. Not only that, smoking hurts the health of those arround you such as family, friends, and love ones. So if you want to conquer the smoking habit, you may be wise to look to your family and friends for help. Everyone who smokes has to consider how much better off you will be if you quit smoking. Therefore, you will save money and your health may improve.

I am so sad because my girlfriend's daughter went back to Ecuador today. I made a surprise dinner for them yesterday. I invited some relatives and friends. Although it was so fun, my friends and I were crying because we will miss each other. They gave me a nice surprise that I will never forget. They are excellent and very smart girls. Both, Deborah and Ivette are studying medicine in Ecuador. I hope they can come back sun.

SURPRISE PARTY!!!!!!!!

I was really busy today. I am planing a surprise party to my friends tomorrow. They have to go back to Ecuador on Saturday morning. The party is going to be in my backyard. I am preparing a barbecue. I'm going to set up my 3 in 1 pool table so they can have fun. I'm going to miss them. I love them as if they were my daughters. I hope they enjoyed their stay.

VOLUNTEERING!!!

Last week we talked about volunteering. This topic was very interesting. Everybody gave an opinion. Although young people do not like to participate on volunteering, they have to learn to help others for their own initiative. They're usually not sensible. Immature behaves is typical in young people. For these reasons we have to teach them to have a conscience and spirit for that. Teenagers have to understand if they want to have success in life, they have to listen the advices that older people give them.

RAINING WEEKEND :( :( :( :(

I had made many plans with my friends to go to the city. Sadly, all weekend is going raining. I feel so sad because my friends only have this weekend to enjoy it. They have to come back home next Saturday morning. Anyway we made plans for the rest of the week. Unfortunately, Unfortunately, we do not have the power to change the weather, but we have the power to put good face to bad time. Good night and I see you soon.

FRIENDS VISIT TO ME FROM ECUADOR

Last Monday, my girlfriend's daughters came from Ecuador to visit this country.They stayed in my house for two weeks. The older is 22 years old and her name is Devora. The younger is 19 years old and her name is Ivette. They are so beautiful and polite. Although I would like to spend more time with them, I cannot do it because I have school every day. However, my older son can take them to hang out because he only has school three days a week. The most important is the girls enjoy their vacations.

SICK!!!!! :(

I am really sick! I was sick since Friday. Today I feel even worse. Allthough I didn't want to get up from bed, I knew I had to because I had many responsibilities to do it such as take care my children, cook, and do my homework. But I'm not the only one who is sick, my daughter is also sick. We both have a cold and allergies. I hope my daughter and I feel better to be able to go to school tomorrow.

SHOPPING DAY

Today, my husband and I decided to go to Macy's because it had a lot of items on sale. The offers was gorgeous. If I bought one item, I get two items free. Macy's is one of the my favorite stores to buy clothes for my children. I also had many coupons to get more discount in my shopping day. After a hard shopping day ( I love shopping), my husband invited me to eat. We went to a nice restaurant called "Olive Garden". It is near to the mall. Really, it was a very nice day.

"RELIGIONS"

Yesterday, we had a conversation about religions. It got my attention because I did not know there were a huge amount of religions. Not only that, I also learned a little beat about their beliefs and lives style; for example, it was new for me to realize that all members of Silkhism religions have the same last name such as Singh for woman and Kaur for men. They do not have any blood relative but they have the same last name.

FAMILY VACATION II

Finally my children got to go to the pool. They had a wonderful time. They spent the whole morning in the pool. After they got out my children were hungry so we went to the buffet to eat lunch. Then we went to the rides they had near the hotel. We did many things such as go karts,a rollarcoaster , and many more, but the most exciting thing was riding in a real helicopter! It was amazing. I never knew that I would ever ride in a real helicopter. It is very different from flying in a plane. At the end my family and I were very tired but my husband and I went to the casino to see shows and how people lost their money easily.

FAMILY VACATION :) :) :) :) :)

On Thursday, April 1st, My family and I took a trip to Atlantic City. We stayed at the "Taj Mahal" hotel. It was so big and beautiful. Our room had a beautiful ocean view. The first night we went out to see the city. We finally got hungry and ate at the "Ruby Tuesday" restaurant. The food was delicious! The next day my children woke up very early to go to the pool. Sadly, the pool opened for children at 10:00 am. Meanwhile, we had breakfast at the buffet at the hotel and finally we went to the pool. I have much more things to say but tomorrow I'll write more tomorrow.

MOVIE TIME

My family and I watched movies all night long. The best movie I watched was "Ann Frank : Diary of a young girl." The movie was touching my heart. It is about a girl who is in hiding and they live in the attic, but sadly they finally got caught from German people. It made my daughter cry! The movie was almost similar to the book that I read. After that movie we watched 2012. It was sad how humans would leave and watch them die because their was no more room. Both movies were really great!

MY SPRING VACATION

Today my family and I am planning to go to New Jersey. We are going to visit my husband's brother and sister. We are going to invite them to a memorial on Tuesday night. The memorial is to remember the death of Jesus Christ and the reason why he gave up his life for the human kind. Hopefully they will come. I hope everyone has a safe and splendid vacation.

PARTY TIME!!!

Today my family and I were invited to a wedding anniversary. It was their 1 year anniversary. It was a surprise wedding anniversary. we danced all night long. I hope they stay together for life. I love them so much. I had a wonderful time. I had to cook pernil. It is a Spanish food that is usually made for parties.

NEW SESSION NEW TEACHER!!!

I began my new session yesterday. I met my new teacher; her name is Christine. She is very strict and organized. Although she is serious in class, she has a great sense of humor. I had many activities, but flash writing was the best that I have had in class. In my opinion, this activity will help us to improve our English skills such as thinking and writing easily.

MY FIRST SESSION IS ALMOST FINISH!!!

I can not believe; my first session is almost finished. During these seven weeks I have learned to improve my english skills. It was not difficult because I have a excellent teacher. I will miss my teacher. My best wishes for my classmates and my teacher.

MY BEST FRIEND :) :)

My sister and I we are together right now. We like to talk a lot about everything. She is my best friend. I said so because we always share good and bad moments in our lives. Although sometimes we argue, we always look after each other. She is my unique sister her name is Sandra. She is younger than me. However, everybody says we look like twins. I like to teach her everything that I learn at school. I like to talk about you guys too.

MY BAD MOMENTS!!!

This week was not good for me. There were many things that made feel so bad emotionally. However, I have to face my bad moments. I do not feel good right now. See you tomorrow.

MY DAUGHTER IS SICK!

Today is a bad day for me because my daughter is sick. She had to stay home. She got virus in her stomach. She started to feel sick yesterday. I hope my daughter feels better tomorrow so she can go to school. I will miss my class today. See you guys tomorrow.

ARE WE LIVING IN "THE LAST DAYS"?

This weekend Chile's earthquake was a sad event that affected to many people in this country. Recently, the same thing happened in Haiti. Tragic things happen so suddenly and unexpectedly that most people are very worried about these world developments. However, God whose name is JEHOVA, long ago his Word, the Bible, foretold not only the bad things happening in our day but also the wonderful things that will occur in the near future. Revelation 21:4 says: "He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be not more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore".

WRITING WORKSHOP

Today I had my first day in writing workshop. I had a nice surprise because my first teacher in LINCC program was there. Her name is Barbara and she is my writing workshop teacher. I was missing her a lot. However, I am very glad with my new teacher Barby because she teaches very well . For me, it is very important to have a good relationship with my teacher. I want to do my best in this semester.

FINAL DAYS OF VACATION

On Saturday it was a wonderful day. My family and I went to Manhattan to have a fun day. First we went to Central Park to ice-skate. My children love this activity. We spent a long time on line. We got to skate around seven o'clock. We talked all the time while we waited on the line. We talked about where we were going to eat. When my children began to ice-skate they fell on the ice. My kids learned not to go fast when ice-skating. After a while we went to eat at a restaurant called My Uncle's. We ate and had hilarious conversation. At the end of the day we all arrived home really tired. :()

D&B FAMILY NIGHT

This week was a fantastic week because I spent time with my family. For example we went to Dave and Buster's on Thursday night. my kids won so many stuffed animals. My daughter got a: dolphin, a Lebron James bear, and many other stuffs. My son got a huge purple boxing glove. My husband, my oldest son and I were at the eating section while we waited for our children; while they were playing. I had a fantastic time with my family.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2010

I had a nice weekend. Although the weekend went by so fast, I still have the rest of the week to spend with my family. My children also have this week off and we would like to do fun things. I hope my husband can take some days off from his job so we can go somewhere to enjoy our one week vacation. I wish a safe break for everybody.

CHILDREN LOVE SNOW..

My children and I were so happy today. We were glad to get a whole day off of school. Today in the morning my kids woke up at :30 in the morning. Before they asked me to go outside; they did what they had to do so I would allow them to go outside. Before I allowed them to go outside I made my home made hot chocolate to keep them warm. Ncole and Santiago made a snowman less than 2 minutes. after making snowman they made snowangels. My children started to have a snow fight with their cousins. It was a cousin v.s cousin snow ball fight. I let my dog go outside to play with my children. We had a wonderful day!!!!

BUSY WEEKEND!!

hi everyone, I was very busy this weekend. First, last Friday, I had to help my husband on his job. The next day Saturday I woke up early because I had to clean my house and I also had to cook a lot of food. Many friends and relatives came to my house on that day. Although I was so tired, I enjoyed so much to spend time with my family and friends. It was a really nice day. Today I was so busy too. For these reasons I just stared to do my homework ( my blogs). The rest of the homework I am doing tomorrow. See you gays.

Presentation Feedback!

Hello everyone! I am really glad and thankful that many of you enjoyed my presentation. As you can all see my family is very important to me from my oldest son to my youngest daughter. I cannot begin to say all that I care for them. I really enjoyed the pesentation and I'm looking forward to other projects in the class. It's alot of work but as you can see, it's for my family. THREE ITEMS IN A BAG!!!

Last friday was my first presentation in this new semester. Although I did this on my last semester, I felt so nervous in this presentation. However, I know that these activities will help me to improve my english. I am truly grateful to my professor gave me this opportunity to share my three important items with my classmates.
